Fairbanks Scales release PLU Manager software

Fairbanks Scales Inc., has announced the release of a new PLU Manager software, which is a updated database management software programme designed for the Omega counting scale. The PLU manager allows for easy input of product information for accurate, efficient weighing and counting.

The updated PLU Manager is a Windows-based software programme that interfaces with the Omega counting scale via an RS232 connection, enabling the user to build a parts database by creating unique 3-digfit Parts Look Up codes for up to 999 individual parts. As each part is entered into the PLU Manager database, it is assigned a PLU code that is linked to a detailed part description, its individual piece weight, and the weight of the container in which it is stored, defined as tare weight. This means no time is wasted in reweighing parts and containors to gather basic inventory control information.

The PLU Manager allows for database storage in either single or multiple databases. Users are also able to download current product information for the Omega counting scale.
