As of 1 August, Demelza Mulligan has assumed the management position at Haver Southern Africa, succeeding Joachim Hoppe who has led the company for three years. Mr Hoppe returns to the company’s headquarters in Oelde, Germany, to found the new business of Bergbau/Mining.

Ms Mulligan received her Bachelor’s Degree from Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town and went on to study for her Master’s Degree at the Polytechnic University of Münster in Germany, during which time she made contact with Haver & Boecker.

Having completed her Master’s Degree, Ms Mulligan worked for the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in South Africa before starting work at Haver Southern Africa in 2013 as Marketing Manager. Now, as Managing Director, Ms Mulligan is able to use her fluent knowledge of German, English and Afrikaans and plans to combine her ‘European academic basis with the African reality on a daily basis’.
