In 2017, The Monarch Cement Co. invested in the latest version – Version 9.0 – of ABB’s Knowledge Manager with ABB Ability™ System 800xA control system integration, as well as ABB’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). It also upgraded its older AC 410 controllers to the latest AC 800M series. The LIMS project was completed in July of 2017 and the change over to Knowledge Manager occurred in the fall.

Jonathan joined Palladian in 2007, after studying at the University of Manchester. He took on the role of Editor of World Cement in January 2017 after seven years as Editor of World Coal. He also launched Dry Bulk in 2016 - a new publication covering the global trade and transportation of dry bulk commodities.
Outside of the office, Jonathan spends most of his time running after his two daughters. He also enjoys following his home football (soccer) team, Leicester City, and the England and Wales Cricket Team.
